Oh my how time flies! This coming 20th Jan, we'll be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary. We purposely chose 20th of January as it's easy to remember our akad nikah date, 20.01.2001. Reception for the bride was held the day after, whilst the groom, a couple of days later. Hhehehe 'the bride'..perasan... dah jadi MAK orang ponnn.

Just taking this opportunity to wish Merry and Hk, 'Happy 10th Anniversary'. May God bless your family. I hope by the time I reach my 10th anniversary, most of my dreams or rather our dreams have been achieved. InsyaAllah. So some of our dreams (10 yr plan that is) that I can reveal here are to get more children (2-3 cukuplerr kot..for now), perform haj or maybe umrah for a start, have our dream home, and enuff saving. That's the general ones. Some of the specific ones are too 'merapu' to be discussed. So hanya mereka dan kluarga mereka yg tawuuuu.

To Nong, Lara...hang in there frens. I cant say I know how you guys feel rite now, cos I just can't. But I can offer prayers for you guys. Hopefully Hannah and Mira will get well soon. Sorry I can't be there. InsyaAllah if rezeki permits, I'll be ber'kampung' -ing in KL in no time.

As for Adam, he's not doing well for himself. He's full of spots. Not the 'chick'-pox, but allergic. He loves chicken nuggets that I fried some for him the other day. Nina on the other hand wanted the seafood ball (crab, fish, etc). So I fried both together in one pan. I didnt notice that he took some from Nina's hand and put it in his mouth. Just 5-6 hours later, he developed this rash-like spots on his body, then gradually onto his face, arm, leg. It made my heart broke seeing him with spots like that. My first hint was that it could be the chicken pox symptoms. So we rushed him to a nearby clinic and the doctor comfirmed that they are just allergic-spots. Phewwwww Alhamdulillah. Luckily he didnt scratch or develop fever. But he's okay now. Another phewwwwww on mommy's part laaa.

Oh yeah..thank you for all the suggestions and comments on my previous entry. I'll take note.

In a week, we'll be celebrating Hari Raya Haji. raya lagi! hehehhe... So I wanna be the first to wish all of you Slamat Hari Raya Aidiladha.

I've been a bit quiet lately...well there's some noble reasons. I dont think I have the need to brag la. Nanti kira tak ikhlas plak what I did.



Last week I was in KL, dealing with some scholarship matters. Whilst I was there, I took the chance to deliver Merry, Nong and Lara's chinaware. Alhamdulillah they are all safe and sound, I mean the china. Yalaa, they were all delivered safely all across the ocean. Takut plak tetiba sebab certian jalan2 kat KL yang berlopak, those china pecah pulak.


I also took the chance to meet Merry's two adorable kids, Hn and Hq. Oh yeah Hk was there too. He was on leave. Mak aii ..I've been saying this over and over again...Hn is sooooooooooooooo pretty and polite. Even Adam likes her. Hq is handsomeand cute too. I was also given a tour around Merry's lovely house. We had lunch there. And I get to meet 'bakutsit'. :)


The day after we had dinner at Nong's. Hannah heheh so cute..siap ambil hati future MIL, FIL and nenek in law. She came and sat on our lap... oh my future DIL. Amy was there too.


Right before we leave for Kedah, I dropped by at Nong and MC's workplace to hand my portion of 'lice' money. We chatted for quite a while, while hubby was happily waiting inside the car, listening to his favorite Tamil songs. I just dunno what's with him... well with all these Tamil songs. (one secret: this actually runs in his family..hehhe his mom lurve tamil movies aka all things on channel 6 Astro..heheh).


Adam's milestone


Well I think I've spoken a bit too soon, last time, when I said that I wish Adam could be really attached to me. Now he's soooooooooo attached. In a way I'm glad as it was quite hard to win his heart when I first saw him last November. Now he wants to be cuddled and kissed every now and then. He'll play with his cousins and then come and give me a cuddle and kiss. Is it normal or have I spoilt my baby? One more thing, it's hard to leave him with unfamiliar faces as he'll scream bloody murder. Is there a cure to that?


For almost a little more than a week, he lost appetite to his usual healthy porridge. He only eats what I eat aka anything adults eat. So for breakfast I gave him bread with butter, for lunch; rice with vege and ayam goreng, for dinner; spaggethi goreng. I tried to make them as healthy as possible which is less salt, no MSG, less oil. He starts drinking ribena now. Am I giving a good start in life for Adam's appetite?


That's all for now. Alfatihah to my three relatives who lost their life in the tsunami disaster. Our village will never be the same again. The tree which I used to climb is no more there...the ducks and chicks are lost (ni kerja pencuri bukan sebab tsunami). Thankfully my grandmother's old house is still standing strong and her grave wasnt affected at all.

First of all thank you Nong for all the 'are u alright' and 'u arent gonna quit blogging, are u' phone calls... It was a wake up call indeed. I was so busy with family affairs that sometimes I forgot about connecting to the outside world. Thank you again Nong...that's what besans are for....hiihih yihaaaaaaaaaa!

Inspired by Nong's entry and one of my favourite song is indeed Counting Crows' A Long December.... which should explain why I chose the same title. I just couldnt stop playing the song in my head. I really hope that next year will be better than this year's.

Oh yeah and Norah Jones' Come Away With Me, which is my caller ringtone has been playing in my dreams almost everynite! Just like Rini said...' sejak bila bagi henset kat Norah Jones' .... I'm so forgetful sometimes that I always left my mobile behind somewhere ... and these are the times that I get important phonecalls.... So these unlucky callers had to entertain themselves by listening to my Norah Jones' ... ok apa....

On a more familiar topic, aka babies.. Adam has shown me a new profound tactic of his. He loves Finding Nemo. I bought him a FN wardrobe to add to his FN collection. I bought a lot of FN goodies back in UK.. He gets so obsessed with FN that every now and then, he'll just point his finger onto the pics of Nemo on the wardrobe with a huge ear to ear grin. That just means that he wants me to put his FN dvd on. Seb baik FN... kalu Kill Bill ka ... pengsan mummy and daddy.

Oh yeah my new year's resolutions are:
1) Be a better mom, wife, daughter, in law, frens
2) Be a better muslim (insyaAllah)
3) Save more kachingggggg$$$$$$$ (be merry like Merry)
4) Oh yeah..hehhe finish my PhD...lupa laksss

My Birthday celebration wasn't big nevertheless a memorable ones. And Nong, espee isn't that chokia. We do have Secret Recipe. That's where my b'day cake came from. kehkehkehhhh... To all my frens. Thank you for the birthday wishes in the tagboard, sms, phonecalls, etc. I think I'm experiencing the 'musim malas updet blog sedunia'. Bye.

Thank you dear frens for wishing me well. The thing is 'the problem'.... well is big for some people but to me it's not (bother me a bit only). I'm a firm believer in the notion, 'there's always a blessing in disguise'. But when it comes to some family members who think that both of us aren't mature enough to make some important, yet crude decisions, hohoho that makes matters worse than it is.


Hhaha enuff said. I don't wanna say much, for I don't want some to make this writing of mine a scapegoat for making the relationship between the both of us and this particular person, oh well from bad to worse to rust!

And rather than being poignantly apprehensive over this matter, I chose to just be MErry (Chop merry...pinjam nama u satt). It was a tight situation.... last wednesday nite. But of course I stood up for hubby la, whoelse. I'm always there for you.. don't worry.


3 days to my birthday. We are planning to go away for the weekend. Nope Non, this is not the reason why I cancelled my KL trip. This is more like on spur of the moment kinda thing. We decided yesterday morning that we're going, just us (Adam skali laa of course..demam2 pun hangkottt). Most probably Penang or Langkawi. The keyword is beach. We'll be coming back on Sunday (originally till Monday), just in time for my not so surprised (anymore) birthday party. Hehehhe my motormouth niece has spilled the beans. She being one of the ad-hoc committee members, or more specifically minister of cake has accidentally asked me which I preferred best? cheese or chocolate moist. I told her, 'tiramisu plis'. And she said, 'opps have to call the bakery and change..'. haiii.... I'm definitely not gonna appoint her for hubby's birtthday next month.


I'm always proud to tell everybody I know that I share the same birthday with the honorable Tun Dr. Mahathir (20/12). He's been my 'ebola' i.e idol (pinjam from piru and JB) ever since he became our prime minister.


Oh yeah, an ex of a friend was also born exactly on the same day, just few hours older. R, I wonder where are you now. If I'm not mistaken Shasha of ex- Elite was born on the same day too...and the same year.
